Morocco Considers Introducing Covid-19 Travel Passport Amid Vaccination Plans

A new "Covid-19 travel passport" could see the light of day in Morocco, in parallel with the anti-covid-19 vaccination campaign, which will take place during the month of December. The announcement was made by the Minister of Health, Khalid Ait Taleb.
The decision would be motivated by the new access conditions imposed by each country to fight against the spread of the Coronavirus, the minister said during a press meeting.
This travel document will allow Moroccan citizens to travel freely to countries where the vaccine is mandatory, he specified, also stressing that the anti-Covid-19 vaccine will be mandatory for certain sectors of activity.
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) had announced the development of a digital solution to resume international travel. The IATA Travel Pass, which provides information on travel requirements, testing and vaccination, will allow travelers to create a digital passport whose information will be shared with airlines and authorities.
