Morocco Considers Extending State of Health Emergency Amid COVID-19 Pandemic

The extension of the state of health emergency in Morocco is one of the topics that will be addressed at the meeting of the Council of Government on Wednesday, September 9.
The council will examine a draft decree-law relating to exceptional measures for the benefit of employers affiliated with the National Social Security Fund (CNSS), and their declared employees, as well as certain categories of self-employed workers and non-salaried persons insured with the CNSS who have suffered the repercussions of the coronavirus pandemic, specifies a press release from the Prime Minister’s department.
Similarly, the government will examine a draft decree relating to the extension of the state of health emergency throughout the national territory in order to deal with Covid-19, continues the same source. During this council, the African Charter on Road Safety, adopted in Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) on January 31, 2016, and a draft law approving this charter will be studied.
The last item on the agenda is related to the examination of proposals for appointments.
