Morocco Considers Delaying School Holidays Amid Education Ministry Confusion

A note from the Ministry of Education, Preschool and Sports published on Monday on social networks indicates that the school holidays, initially scheduled for January 21, have been postponed to February 11. Is the information verified?
"School holidays will be postponed to February 11 in all public and private schools as well as foreign mission schools. This decision is intended to provide school time in favorable conditions and to guarantee the right to education in a fair manner for all students," the widely shared note on social media informs.
The information was immediately denied by the Ministry of National Education, which had announced on January 2 the maintenance of school holidays, specifying however that support courses could be provided to students who expressed the need for them.
In addition, the department of Chakib Benmoussa has decided, as part of its action plan, to extend the school year by one week to allow the completion of school programs and strengthen students’ achievements. An extension that will lead to a modification of the dates of the national and regional exams and a postponement of the date of the baccalaureate exam.
