Morocco Considers Border Reopening Amid Ongoing Health Emergency

The reopening of Moroccan borders is subject to the state of health emergency in the country, the international epidemiological situation and the health protocols adopted at the border crossing points.
The information was communicated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Moroccans Residing Abroad, which stresses that several scenarios related to the reopening of borders are currently under study.
For now, no option is feasible, and only Moroccans residing abroad and their families, students, and people traveling for professional or medical purposes benefit from an exemption measure.
The kingdom had closed its land, sea and air borders in March last year, following the declaration of the state of health emergency in the country.
