Morocco’s Central Bank Ensures Cash Availability During August Holidays

Bank Al-Maghrib (BAM) has taken the necessary measures to ensure full coverage of banks’ cash needs, in this month of August, marked by public holidays.
Bank Al-Maghrib (BAM) is working to ensure the availability of funds, in this month of August which includes several public holidays. To this end, the central bank sent a letter to the banks, dated July 16, asking them to take all necessary measures, both at their level and at that of their external service providers, to ensure the permanent availability of funds at ATMs, throughout the Kingdom, and to ensure that any malfunctions are avoided, according to a BAM press release.
In the same vein, the central bank held meetings with the banks to ensure the effective implementation of the necessary arrangements.
The institutions have mobilized, with their external service providers, to ensure the reliability of ATM availability, both technically and in terms of banknote supply, throughout the national territory, details the same source.
