Morocco Celebrates 65 Years of Independence with Google Doodle

As in previous years, Google is celebrating, on Wednesday, November 18, the 65th anniversary of Morocco’s independence.
Thus, we discover on the homepage of the American giant a "doodle" representing the Moroccan flag flying above a green rectangle bearing the name of the search engine. A design similar to last year’s. The only difference: the flag is presented on a green background and not blue. "Red represents Moroccan values such as courage and strength, while green symbolizes ideals such as peace and love," Google describes.
November 18 is a memorable date for the Moroccan people. On that day, the late Mohammed V had proclaimed the independence of Morocco, thus announcing the end of the protectorate and the liberation of the Homeland. "We are pleased to announce the end of the guardianship and protectorate regime and the advent of freedom and independence," the sovereign had declared on November 18, 1955 upon his return from exile, accompanied by the royal family. "We have moved from the battle of the small Jihad to that of the great Jihad," Sultan Sidi Mohammed Ben Youssef had continued.
