A reshuffle in the next few hours? A cabinet reshuffle is imminent on the sidelines of the Council of Ministers originally scheduled for Thursday and postponed to this Saturday. It is likely that one of the two ministers, Fouzi Lekjaa and Nizar Baraka, will be appointed to head the Ministry of Economy and Finance, replacing Minister Nadia Fettah Alaoui. The Minister of Land Planning, Urbanism, Housing and City Policy, Fatima Zahra Mansouri, could replace the Minister of Justice Abdelatif Ouahbi.

Members of the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) are increasingly tipped for ministerial positions, Assabah believes, citing Fatiha Layadi, Samir Belfkih and Ali Belhaj. They made a remarkable entry into the party’s political bureau during its last congress. On the other hand, members of the Istiqlal Party will leave the government team. These are the Minister of Industry and Trade Ryad Mezzour and the Minister of Transport and Logistics Mohamed Abdejalil. The latter has also expressed his intention to leave the ship.
Members of the National Rally of Independents (RNI) such as Chakib Benmoussa would also be among the departures. The Minister of National Education, Primary Education and Sports had provoked widespread discontent within his department. Minister Fatima Zahra Ammor, on the other hand, could leave her position or be appointed to the Ministry of Industry and Trade after the departure of Ryad Mezzour.
