Morocco Braces for Intense Heat Wave with Temperatures Soaring to 47°C

A new heat wave is expected from this Sunday until next Tuesday in several Moroccan regions, the Directorate General of Meteorology (DGM) has just warned. During this period, temperatures will fluctuate between 36 to 47 °C.
The DGM forecasts extreme heat peaks between 45 and 47 °C over these three days in several Moroccan provinces, including Sidi Kacem, Sidi Slimane, Larache or Kénitra.
At the same time, other regions of the country will also experience a significant increase in temperatures. The mercury will rise up to 45 °C in the provinces of Agadir Ida Outanae, Inezegane ait Melloul, Chtouka ait Baha, among others. In addition, the provinces of Moulay Yacoub, Fès, Meknès will be exposed to temperatures between 39 and 43 °C, while in Safi, El Jadida, Casablanca, the mercury will rise up to 39 degrees.
