Morocco Braces for Heavy Rains, Snow, and Strong Winds in Multiple Provinces

The General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) forecasts heavy, sometimes stormy rains, snowfall above 1800 meters and strong gusts of wind from Sunday to Tuesday in several Moroccan provinces.
Heavy, sometimes stormy rains (25 to 40 mm) are expected on Monday from 4am to 8pm in the provinces of Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, Inezgane-Aït Melloul, Chtouka-Aït Baha, Safi, Al Haouz, Essaouira, Azilal and Béni Mellal, the DGM said in an orange-level weather alert bulletin. The same phenomenon (40 to 70 mm) will occur, from Monday at 6am to Tuesday at 6pm, in the provinces of M’diq-Fnideq, Fahs-Anjra, Tétouan, Chefchaouen, Al Hoceima, Nador and Driouch. Snowfall above 1800 m (20-35 cm) is expected, from Monday to Tuesday, in the provinces of Azilal, Al Haouz, Chichaoua, Midelt, Ouarzazate and Taroudant, the same source specifies.
The DGM also announces that strong gusts of wind (75-95 Km/h) will hit the provinces of Fahs-Anjra, Tanger-Assilah, Tétouan and M’diq-Fnideq from Sunday to Monday. The same phenomenon (75 to 85 km/h) will occur on Monday in the provinces of Figuig, Ouarzazate, Tinghir, Errachidia and Zagora, the same source adds.
