Morocco Braces for Extreme Heat Wave as Temperatures Soar to 46°C (115°F)

The Directorate General of Meteorology (DGM) forecasts a heat wave (43/46°C) from this Saturday until next Tuesday in several Moroccan regions.
This wave will affect the provinces of Ouezzane, Moulay Yaacoub, Taounate, Fez, Meknes, Khemisset, Sidi Kacem, Sidi Slimane, Beni Mellal, Fquih Ben Salah, Rehamna, El Kelaa des Sraghna, Taroudant, Tan-Tan and the interior of the provinces of Larache and Kenitra, specified the DGM in an orange level weather alert bulletin.
Similarly, temperatures (39/43°C) are expected, during the same period, in the provinces of Guercif, El Hajeb, Taza, Khenifra, Khouribga, Settat, Benslimane, Sidi Bennour, Berrechid, Marrakech, Youssoufia, Zagora and the interior of the provinces of Skhirat-Temara and Salé, it is specified.
The DGM also announces that a heat wave with temperatures between 43 and 46°C will be recorded on Monday and Tuesday next week in the provinces of Assa-Zag, Smara and the interior of the provinces of Aousserd and Oued Eddahab.
