Morocco Braces for Extreme Heat Wave with Temperatures up to 47°C (116°F)

Several Moroccan regions such as Casablanca or Rabat will experience a heat wave from Sunday, July 11 to Monday, July 12, 2021, warns the General Directorate of Meteorology (DMN).
Temperatures will vary between 44°C and 47°C this Sunday, the DMN specifies in a special weather bulletin with an orange alert level. This heat wave will affect the provinces of Sidi Kacem, Sidi Slimane, Taounate, Ouezzane, Fès, Meknès, Moulay Yacoub, Sefrou, Khemisset, Settat, El Kelaa des Sraghna, Fquih Ben Salah, Beni Mellal, Taourirt, Guercif, Oujda-Angad, Taroudant, Assa-Zag, Es-Semara, Tata, Errachidia and Zagora.
As for the provinces of Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, Kenitra, Larache, El Hajeb, Chichaoua, Rehamna, Youssoufia, Sidi Bennour, Marrakech, Driouch, Chefchaouen, Khenifra, Khouribga, Essaouira (inland), Nou
