Morocco Braces for Extended Heat Wave as Temperatures Soar Above 40°C

The heat wave currently affecting a large part of Morocco will last at least until Sunday, the National Meteorology Directorate (DMN) has just warned in a special bulletin.
Temperatures are expected to exceed 40 degrees from Thursday to Sunday. This will be the case, for example, in Assa-Zag, Smara, Tata, Zagora, Béni Mellal, Chichaoua, Marrakech, Settat, Kelaat-Sraghna, Fquih Ben Salah, Youssoufia, Khouriga, Larache, Ouezzane, Sidi Kacem, Sidi Slimane or Taroudant.
From Thursday to Saturday, very high temperatures are expected in the provinces of Benslimane, Khemisset, Kénitra, Rabat, Salé, Sidi Bennour, and Skhirate-Temara where the thermometer will oscillate between 34 and 38 degrees.
From Saturday to Sunday, 38 to 42 degrees are expected in the provinces of Agadir-Idouatanane, Chtouka-Ait Baha, Guelmim, Inezgane-Ait Melloul, Sidi Ifni, Tantan and Tiznit, while temperatures will rise on the northern plains and in the center.
