Morocco Boosts Air Force with Israeli Cruise Missiles in Major Arms Deal

Morocco and Israel are about to conclude an arms contract concerning the acquisition of Delilah cruise missiles, owned by the Israeli firm Elbit Systems.
The negotiations concern a significant quantity of missiles that will be integrated into the Moroccan Royal Air Force (FRA) fighter jets. This sophisticated equipment can be launched from drones as well as over long distances.
Delilah is a unique missile, equipped with a rocket engine and controlled by very advanced navigation systems. Its strategic role in the military arsenal is to effectively reach land and maritime targets within a radius of 250 km. It is the first missile of this type to be integrated into the Moroccan air force.
This project is part of a broader strategy to strengthen Morocco’s military capabilities. The contract between Morocco and Israel reinforces their partnership, with Elbit Systems planning to open two sites in Morocco, including one in the Casablanca region, thus consolidating the Israeli company’s industrial presence in the kingdom.
