Morocco Bolsters Police Force with Advanced "Ghiath Smart Patrol" Vehicles

The Moroccan police is acquiring one of the most advanced security vehicles in the world, manufactured by W Motors, a manufacturer based in the United Arab Emirates. The vehicle, called the "Ghiath Smart Patrol", will strengthen intervention capabilities in crime prevention.
The fleet of the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) is expanding with the reception of the Moroccan version of the "Ghiath Smart Patrol". This vehicle was part of the logistics means and equipment exhibited on Thursday, May 16 in Agadir, during the launch of the DGSN Open House Days. Developed by the special projects division of W Motors, a manufacturer based in the United Arab Emirates, this vehicle has already proven itself with the Dubai police, recalls Le360. The vehicle is equipped with 10 forward-facing cameras capable of recognizing faces at a distance of 9 meters and reading license plates, as well as a retractable 360-degree vision camera that can be deployed on the roof to perform panoramic views, zooms and capture images.
The "Ghiath Smart Patrol" is also equipped with a 30-minute autonomous drone, with a thermal camera to monitor traffic and facilitate rescue operations. Not to mention the 40-centimeter screen installed on the dashboard, which allows the display of images from the 10 external cameras and the telescopic camera, and whose operating system is equipped with artificial intelligence. "Connected to the various security databases, the vehicle will first be tested for a period of six months, in collaboration with the Dubai police, before proceeding to evaluate its ability to improve the services offered to citizens," the DGSN stressed.
