Morocco Bolsters Military with Advanced Chinese Wing Loong 2 Drones

Morocco has strengthened its army in equipment by acquiring the Wing Loong 2 drones, purchased from China. A first batch of these devices has recently been received by the Royal Armed Forces (FAR).
Designed and manufactured by the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC), the Wing Loong 2 is distinguished by its ability to fly with a payload of up to 480 kilograms, including weapons and sensors, and can carry 12 bombs or a laser-guided missile capable of flying at a speed of up to 370 kilometers per hour. It can continue to fly for 20 hours straight.
The kingdom already has 4 models of the Wing Loong 1, offered by the United Arab Emirates, for its operations. But faced with the obsolescence of these aircraft and to strengthen its military air arsenal, the kingdom has ordered the improved version of this Chinese drone, the Wing Loong 2.
The reception of this second version of the Wing Loong drone series makes Morocco the air force with the largest "drone" squadron on the African continent, and the country with the most diversified arsenal.
