Morocco’s Ex-PM Benkirane Slams French-Language Science Education Deal

Former Head of Government Abdelilah Benkirane has once again expressed his strong dislike for the teaching of scientific subjects in French in Moroccan schools.
In an intervention published on Facebook, his favorite channel since he no longer has access to the media, Benkirane rejected the agreement that has just been initialed by the parliamentary groups, including that of the PJD, concerning the teaching of scientific subjects in French in middle schools.
"The version submitted to the Council of Ministers and Parliament is not the one that was revised," Benkirane was surprised, saying he "does not know what happened" after the text was referred back to the Higher Council for Education, Training and Scientific Research.
For Abdelilah Benkirane, teaching in French is synonymous with a "resurgence of the language of the colonizer", not hesitating to speak of a "colonialist lobby" that would be behind this reintroduction.
In the line of fire, Noureddine Ayouch, whom he accuses of "speaking French at home" and to whom he attributes a nuisance power within the Permanent Commission on Curricula, Programs, Training and Teaching Tools at the CSEFRS. Sometimes described as a "merchant" or even a "publicist", he does not hesitate to bring in religion by talking about "responsibility before God". Rhetorical religious that he handles very well!
Addressing the current Head of Government Saâdeddine El Othmani, who is also from the same party as him, he advises him to choose Arabization followed by the Istiqlal party instead of "the curse of Frenchification". A whole electoral program in advance.
