Morocco’s Beer Prices Surge 10% Amid COVID-19 Economic Pressures

To cope with the health crisis related to Covid-19, the Société des Boissons du Maroc has just announced an increase in the price of its beer, a very popular drink in the country.
Bad news for beer consumers. The wholesale price of the 33 cl can of Flag Pils and Stork beers has gone from 11 to 12 dirhams, an increase of 10%.
The reaction of alcohol outlets did not wait, as the prices of the brands marketed by the former Brasseries du Maroc were immediately increased by 5 dirhams.
To recall, the Société des Boissons du Maroc achieved a net result, in the first half of 2020, of 33 million dirhams, a decrease of 65% compared to the same period last year.
