Morocco Bans Cultural Events Nationwide as COVID-19 Precaution

The government has decided, on Friday, to ban festivals and cultural events throughout Morocco again in order to strengthen the health measures aimed at preserving the gains of the fight against Covid-19.
In a statement, the government states that this decision comes on the basis of the legal provisions relating to the management of the state of health emergency, and within the framework of the preventive measures in force to limit the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic, and with a view to preserving the health of citizens.
While emphasizing the importance of these mechanisms for reducing the risks of the spread of the pandemic, the government recalls the need for strong and responsible commitment from everyone to respect the measures and decisions taken by the public authorities.
