Morocco’s Atlas Lions Begin Training Camp Ahead of Friendly Matches

On Monday, September 2, the Atlas Lions held their first training session under the leadership of national coach Vahid Halilhodzic, on the pitch of the Grand Stadium of Marrakech.
Starting around 6:30 p.m., the 10-day preparation camp saw the effective presence of 16 players out of 27 summoned. It was initiated as part of the preparation for the next two friendly matches pitting Morocco against Burkina Faso and Niger, reports 2m.ma
For reasons related to the schedule of their various clubs and their commitments, the training session was marked by the absence of several players: Nouredine Amrabat, Soufiane Amrabat, Walid El karti, Mohamed Tagnaouti, Hakim Ziyech, Youness Belhanda, El Mehdi Carcela and Yassine Bounou.
The latter signed the day before a loan contract with Sevilla FC with a purchase option. The Moroccan internationals will soon join the camp. As for Badr Banoun, victim of an injury, he also missed this first session.
