Morocco’s Atlas Lionesses Edge Atlético Madrid 1-0 in Women’s Football Friendly

The Moroccan women’s national football team faced Atlético Madrid, in the context of a friendly match that ended in the victory of the Moroccans (1-0).
The match took place behind closed doors at the Wanda Alcala Henares sports center. The only goal of the match was scored by Rosella Ayane in the 31st minute. Atlético de Madrid women’s team is 5th in the Spanish championship with 14 points.
This is the second time the Atlas Lionesses have played a friendly match in Spain. On Thursday they were defeated by the Spanish women’s national team (3-0). These friendly matches are intended to prepare the Moroccan players for the Africa Cup of Nations, CAN Morocco 2022.
