The Central Bureau of Judicial Investigations (BCIJ) is not letting up in the fight against terrorism. On Tuesday, it arrested two suspected terrorists affiliated with Daesh, very active in Aït Melloul and the commune of Oulad Berhil, near Taroudant.
The two suspects, aged between 23 and 29, pledged allegiance to the Emir of Daesh with a view to carrying out terrorist attacks on vital establishments and security elements in Morocco, the BCIJ said in a statement.
The two individuals were taken into custody for the purposes of the judicial investigation conducted under the supervision of the public prosecutor’s office in charge of terrorism cases in order to determine the ins and outs of these terrorist acts as well as the possible terrorist groups to which these individuals are associated.
With this new arrest, the BCIJ proves that it is maintaining its course in the fight against terrorism that threatens the security and stability of Morocco and the region.
