Morocco Arrests Two Suspected ISIS Affiliates Planning Attacks

Two individuals suspected of being linked to the terrorist group Daesh were arrested by the Central Bureau of Judicial Investigations (BCIJ) in the Rehamna region, specifically in the rural commune of Oulad Hassoun El Hamri.
Aged 28, the individuals had pledged allegiance to the emir of the "Islamic State" and had begun the dissemination and distribution of extremist publications for the purpose of indoctrination and recruitment, either directly or through computer systems, according to a statement from the BCIJ.
According to the preliminary investigation, one of the two extremists was making apologies for criminal acts targeting financial and banking institutions and legitimizing their criminal income, and he had also seriously worked to train in the traditional manufacture of explosives to commit terrorist acts, the note continues.
Searches of their homes led to the seizure of mobile phones and documents with extremist content from the "Islamic State", as well as a balaclava.
The suspects were placed in custody for investigation under the supervision of the public prosecutor’s office to determine their links with regional and international terrorist organizations and identify their destructive projects aimed at the security of the Kingdom and the safety of citizens, the statement concludes.
