Morocco’s Anti-Terror Unit Refutes Claims in ISIS Cell Arrest Case

The allegations of the wife of one of the accused arrested on Thursday, as part of the terrorist cell, were denied by the BCIJ.
In a statement, the Central Bureau of Judicial Investigation (BCIJ) categorically denied the allegations and lies told by the wife of one of the accused arrested as part of the terrorist cell affiliated with the organization called "Islamic State", dismantled last Thursday.
At the home of the defendant, searches were carried out by the judicial police officers. These searches made it possible to seize explosive vests, balaclavas, bladed weapons, welding equipment, and various equipment used in the preparation of explosives. Technical expertise has confirmed that these materials are "capable of manufacturing and preparing four types of extremely dangerous explosives".
Moreover, the person concerned being the wife of the accused apprehended in Temara. The latter had violently resisted during his arrest. She even threatened the safety of the rapid intervention elements.
For the record, a judicial police officer was responsible for the woman in question throughout the intervention operations until the neutralization of the terrorist danger posed by her husband, notes the same press release. All of this therefore allowed the BCIJ to deny the lies of the woman according to which her husband was not involved in the case and had no connection with the dangerous objects seized in his possession and in his home.
All of her allegations were aimed at calling into question the security and procedural measures taken under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities, laments the Central Bureau of Judicial Investigation.
