Morocco’s Anti-Corruption Hotline Logs 117 Cases in First Year, Including Government Officials

A total of 117 cases of reporting fraud and corruption have been recorded by the anti-corruption hotline set up by the Attorney General’s Office.
These include 30 cases involving agents and authorities, 22 cases involving municipalities, 22 cases within the Royal Gendarmerie, the national security, civil protection, the auxiliary forces, water and forests, 10 cases of mediators, 9 health cases, 6 justice cases and 4 cases of equipment and transport, 4 cases of civil servants and 10 cases in other unrecorded areas, reports barlamane.com.
Among these cases known to the competent services, 12 are still pending before the courts, 8 under investigation, 4 in the process of being judged. 25 preliminary judgments and 55 appeal decisions have been rendered.
