Morocco and Israel Sign Deal for Construction of Five New Hospitals

Morocco and Israel signed a memorandum of understanding on Thursday morning in Rabat for the construction of several hospital facilities. The project will be led by the Israeli group I.M.S. Ovadia group Ltd.
The signing ceremony of this memorandum of understanding was chaired by Khalid Ait Taleb, Minister of Health. In a press release, the ministry stressed that this agreement, while allowing the strengthening of bilateral relations between Morocco and Israel, aims to establish a model of social development based on the principles of equality, equity and solidarity, in accordance with the instructions of King Mohammed VI.
The financial contribution of the I.M.S group, as part of this agreement, is estimated at 5 billion dirhams. It will allow the construction of five hospital facilities with a bed capacity of around 1,000 beds in the regions of Dakhla-Oued Eddahab, Fès-Meknès, Draa-Tafilalet and Marrakech-Safi.
