Morocco and India Explore Strengthening Bilateral Ties in Parliamentary Visit

The strengthening of bilateral relations between Morocco and India was, on Thursday, January 16, at the heart of the exchanges, during the visit to New Delhi of a Moroccan parliamentary delegation, led by Abdelkrim Mehdi, president of the Morocco-India parliamentary friendship group.
During this visit, Abdelkrim Mehdi, president of the Moroccan-Indian parliamentary friendship group and Prabhu Chaudhary, chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of India, in the Lok Sabha (Lower House of the Indian Parliament) New Delhi, discussed issues related to the socio-economic development of the two countries, reports MAP.
The two officials also exchanged views on ways to multiply bilateral visits and exchanges within the framework of parliamentary and economic diplomacy. Together, they defined prospects for strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
In 2019, relations between Rabat and New Delhi have made significant progress in the cultural, educational, political and economic fields. On December 12, 2019, a bilateral symposium had been organized in Rabat. On this occasion, Morocco and India had shared their experiences in terms of modernization and development.
The two countries had formalized their bilateral relations in 1957.
