Morocco Advances to U17 World Cup Round of 16 with 3-1 Win Over Indonesia

The Moroccan under-17 national team qualified for the round of 16 of the U17 World Cup, after a 3-1 victory against host Indonesia. This is the second time in the team’s history that it has reached this stage of the competition.
Morocco started the match by focusing on attack, trying to take the lead quickly. The strategy proved successful, especially since a victory for Ecuador against Panama could have complicated the situation in case of defeat. Morocco’s first goal came in the 29th minute, with a penalty converted by Anas Alaoui.
Morocco then scored a second goal by Abdelhamid Ait Boudlal in the 39th minute, before Indonesia reduced the gap through Nabil Asyura. The first half ended with a 2-1 score in favor of Morocco.
After the break, Morocco maintained the pressure, with a third goal scored by Mohamed Hamony in the 64th minute. Despite attempts by both teams, the score remained unchanged, ending in a 3-1 victory for Morocco.
This victory places Morocco at the top of its group with six points, ahead of Ecuador. Indonesia and Panama are ranked third and fourth respectively.
