Morocco Activates Border Surveillance to Combat Coronavirus Spread from Sub-Saharan Africa

A surveillance system has been activated at the Guerguerat border post, in southern Morocco, to effectively deal with the threat posed by the coronavirus.
This measure will make it possible to detect any possible new case of coronavirus infection, particularly among arrivals in Morocco from sub-Saharan African countries.
The regional health directorate of Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab has taken a series of strict preventive measures to detect and quarantine any person infected with the coronavirus.
This series of measures is in line with the recent decision taken by the Ministry of Health to activate health monitoring at international airports and ports and all border posts in the kingdom.
