Morocco to Acquire Advanced Israeli Missile Defense System by Mid-2023

Israel will sell its Barak MX anti-aircraft defense system to Morocco. By June 2023, the kingdom should receive this missile interceptor manufactured by the company Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI).
The delivery of the Israeli Barak MX to Morocco will take place in mid-2023, according to the FAR-Maroc Facebook page. It is part of the agreement signed in February 2022 between Morocco and Israel for the acquisition of weapons for an amount of 500 million dollars. Manufactured by Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), the Barak MX anti-aircraft and anti-missile defense system can protect against all kinds of missile and drone threats.
The Barak-MX system consists of a radar and various launchers to counter attacks from fighter jets, helicopters, drones, cruise missiles, surface-to-air missiles and surface-to-surface missiles. Rabat has already acquired Israeli drones like the Heron, also manufactured by IAI, as well as Elbit Systems robotic patrol vehicle systems and Skylock anti-drone systems.
