Morocco to Acquire 8 Advanced Caracal H225M Military Helicopters from Airbus

Morocco continues its rearmament. After Turkish and Israeli drones and combat aircraft from the United Arab Emirates, the kingdom is about to acquire 8 Caracal H225M helicopters from Airbus Helicopter.
Morocco is negotiating the purchase of 8 Caracal H225M helicopters for the air force. It is said to have already concluded an agreement with Airbus Helicopters to this effect. The Caracal H225M is a modern, latest-generation aircraft intended for maritime rescue, surveillance and missile and automatic cannon attacks. It has a capacity of over 140,000 flight hours and can carry over 5 tons of cargo. Developed in the late 1990s, it made its first flight in 2000 and entered service in 2005.

The Caracal H225M measures 16.79 meters long, 4.97 meters high and 3 meters wide. It can carry up to 28 soldiers in the rear plus 2 crew members as well as 11 stretchers for medical transport. It can also be equipped with various types of armaments to launch missiles or additional cannons as well as night vision systems.

France announced in April that Morocco had ordered these 8 Caracal H225M helicopters. This order comes in addition to the 24 Apache AH-64E that Morocco had wanted to acquire in March. This latest generation model of the Apache has a modern system for collecting day and night war information, and is also capable of controlling drones and other unmanned aerial systems.
