Morocco Accelerates Repatriation Efforts with 30 Flights for Stranded Citizens

The repatriation of Moroccans stranded abroad continues. To accelerate their return, the Minister of Foreign Affairs has scheduled around thirty flights during the period of June 21 to 27.
17 countries, namely Turkey, Serbia, Mauritania, Tunisia, Hungary, Austria, the United Arab Emirates, France, Portugal, Switzerland, Poland, the Netherlands, Senegal, Belgium, Italy and the United Kingdom are affected by this operation.
According to the head of Moroccan diplomacy, the kingdom will have 4,644 people repatriated by June 27, compared to 3,151 since May 15, an increase of 73%.
As for Moroccans stranded in Germany, Egypt, the Gulf countries, Turkey and other countries, they will be taken into account from June 28.
In addition, Morocco is considering setting up a regional hub to group all 7,800 Moroccan nationals stranded in Asia and America, pending the chartering of flights for their return.
