Moroccans Face Steep Fees and Long Waits for Schengen Visa Appointments

Moroccans continue to suffer from the law of visa appointment intermediaries who demand exorbitant amounts that can reach 11,000 dirhams for a single appointment.
The situation is more criticized at the level of the consulates of Spain, France and Italy. Without regard to the purpose of the visa application (emergency, illness, work or studies), intermediaries at the Spanish consulate demand 20,000 dirhams for an individual and 40,000 dirhams for a family to obtain the visa within a maximum of one week, Moroccan visa applicants have denounced on social media.
Associations have already complained to the consulates of Spain, France, and Italy about the difficulties encountered in obtaining visa appointments, as well as the exorbitant prices demanded by the intermediaries who swindle them, under the powerless gaze of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. They call on the competent authorities to put an end to this phenomenon that is growing in the kingdom.
