Moroccan YouTuber with 500K Followers Arrested for Spreading COVID-19 Misinformation

Faced with the dizzying rise of fake news and rumors since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, the Moroccan authorities have never ceased to threaten to crack down according to the rigors of the law. A YouTuber, named "mi Naïma", was apprehended by the BNPJ and placed in custody for broadcasting erroneous content on her channel about the current crisis.
The arrested YouTuber has nearly half a million followers. She was guilty of claiming on her channel that "the epidemic is a hoax and that we must continue to live our lives as normally as possible".
It was after numerous broadcasts on her channel that she was arrested on March 17 for spreading fake news about Covid-19.
