Moroccan Woman’s Trial for Gruesome UAE Murder-Cannibalism Case Delayed

The Moroccan woman who in November 2018 killed and cooked her lover, before offering him to be eaten by Pakistani workers, has just had her trial postponed in the United Arab Emirates.
At 37 years old, she is said to have stabbed her partner to death, then cut up his body into three pieces before simply cooking him and offering him to be eaten by workers. This act, which she previously described as a "fit of madness," according to the newspaper The National, would have been motivated by the fact that her lover, also Moroccan but younger than her, informed her that he intended to marry another woman. They would have met 7 years ago.
However, Khalid bin Jumhoor Al Ahbabi, her lawyer, is currently pleading something else: she would have attacked her victim, a tailor in a clothing store, in self-defense and she would not have intended to kill him.
This crime was only discovered several months after it was committed. According to the Associated Press agency, the discovery would have taken place "after the victim’s brother began looking for him and found a tooth in the woman’s blender." The suspect was arrested when DNA tests confirmed the tooth belonged to the victim.
It should be noted that the accused Moroccan woman is married and a mother, her children living in Morocco with their father.
