Moroccan Woman Dies After Violent Exorcism Ritual, Authorities Investigate

Witchcraft and exorcism have killed again in Morocco. This is what just happened with the death of a young woman whose family called on an exorcist to drive out the devil and the jinns.
In the Taliouine region, in northern Morocco, a woman in her twenties succumbed to her injuries, following the violence inflicted by a sorcerer, a self-proclaimed healer, reports Akhbarona.
During his witchcraft ritual, intended to purify the young woman’s body of the jinns, the man resorted to several practices including physical aggression and verbal violence.
Noticing the death of his "patient", the fqih spontaneously went to the Royal Gendarmerie station, where he was taken into custody, pending being brought before the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
An investigation has of course been opened by the authorities to determine the exact circumstances of the victim’s death.
