Moroccan Woman Breaks Barriers as Aspiring Lifeguard in Tangier

A few days ago we talked about a young woman who enlisted as soon as the census related to military service was launched. Here it is a lifeguard, passionate about rescue.

A 23-year-old woman has just participated in the training organized by the Civil Protection of Tanger-Assilah, provided before the entrance exam for the lifeguard profession. Her name is: Loubna El Ouazzani, and she lives in Tanger.

According to Le360, she would have already succeeded in passing the training stages: "Among many candidates, she has passed all the stages made of training supervised by specialists. In the end, 200 candidates will be chosen to serve on the beaches of the north of the Kingdom, which experience a large influx during the summer period".

As for the reasons that led her to choose this path, Loubna El Ouazzani said: "I applied for this competition because I consider the lifeguard profession to be noble. I hope that Morocco will be among the first Arab countries to have women lifeguards".

This initiative comes just a few days after the very noticed one of Hasnaa Belaziz, a 22-year-old from Marrakech, who left her post at the Marrakech University Hospital in order to do her military service. She had long dreamed of a career in the Royal Armed Forces and had tried her luck in various competitions without success.
