Moroccan Woman Arrested for Spreading False Coronavirus Information on Facebook

After posting a fake news on her Facebook account, reporting the supposed detection of a new case of coronavirus in Ouled Taïma, between Agadir and Taroudant, in the Souss-Massa region, a young woman is facing legal troubles.
Following the publication of the false post, the police elements arrested this young woman, who lives in Ouled Teïma, in the province of Taroudant. She was then placed in custody, before being brought before the public prosecutor of the court of first instance of Taroudant. The latter decided to prosecute her while at liberty.
On the side of the accused’s family, it is desolation. They are surprised that things have taken on such serious dimensions.
Faced with the rumors and fake news that are proliferating on social networks, the Ministry of the Interior recently stated that the authors of the false publications on the coronavirus would be caught and prosecuted before the competent courts.
