Moroccan Woman Arrested at Naples Airport for Fake COVID-19 Test Certificate

A 29-year-old Moroccan woman was apprehended at Naples airport for presenting a fake negative Coronavirus certificate. She had obtained the document from a Moroccan individual for the price of 50 euros.
In order to board a flight to Morocco, a passenger had to provide a fake negative test result at one of the control points at Capodichino international airport. She told the investigators that she had bought it from an individual at the entrance to the airport.
The forger was located a few hours later thanks to the surveillance cameras, reports a local media. The Moroccan, with a criminal record, was apprehended in the act of possessing 9 fake negative Covid-19 certificates and the sum of 6,678 euros, suspected of being the proceeds of the certificate trafficking.
In early February, the European police agency Europol had warned travelers against the system of selling fake negative test certificates at airports. Criminal networks operating at airports and on the Internet were offering them at prices ranging from 40 to 300 euros.
