Moroccan Woman Arrested in Blackmail and Assault Scheme Involving Lover

According to the facts, the married woman had sent two individuals to beat up her lover who was blackmailing her with compromising photos, Assabah reports. The latter attacked him and stole his mobile phone. The lover filed a complaint with the Royal Gendarmerie.

In this complaint, he said he had been attacked by three individuals for no apparent reason. The gendarmes of the Sidi Yahia Zaer commune (Skhirat-Témara prefecture) refused to believe this version of the facts. During his interrogation, they discovered that he had an extramarital relationship with the married woman. The investigations led to the arrest of the latter, her accomplices and the assaulted lover. One of the arrested accomplices had recently been released from prison after four years of criminal detention.

According to the version of the married woman, the plaintiff had sexually assaulted her, used her mobile phone to take compromising photos. He had then blackmailed her. To put an end to this blackmail, she said she had asked two individuals to take revenge on her.

The referral of the four defendants took place last week.
