Moroccan Village Near Agadir Receives Vital Ambulance and Medical Aid from European Partners

Morocco has received a donation of medical equipment for the population of Talâat, a village located east of Agadir. It is the result of a solidarity partnership between associations based in Montpellier.
A brand new yellow ambulance and wheelchairs. The partners behind this operation are pleased that this solidarity donation has reached its destination in Morocco last week, reports Actu.fr.
To succeed in this operation, the Énergie Paillade association located in the Mosson-la Paillade district launched a kitty with established partners in Spain and Italy. The idea is to equip a remote area in southern Morocco with a private ambulance.
"This ambulance and the wheelchairs that will be used for the movements of injured and sick people are stationed in the village of Talâat, east of Agadir, lost in the middle of the desert and whose nearest hospital is in Errachidia, 200 kilometers away. To cover this long distance on the tracks, it takes 4 hours there and 4 hours back," reveals one of the association’s officials.
"Regularly, because the victims are in serious condition following an accident or after a heart attack, deaths are to be deplored on this journey," he adds. This operation therefore aims to save lives, thousands of kilometers from Montpellier.
