Moroccan Tycoon Othman Benjelloun’s Wealth Surges $46 Million as Bank of Africa Shares Rise

The year 2023 is proving lucrative for Othman Benjelloun, the second richest man in Morocco. Since January, thanks to the 4.65% increase in the Bank Of Africa share price, his portfolio has gained $46 million.
The stock has gone from 172 dirhams ($17.297) at the beginning of the year to 180 dirhams ($18.1) on August 21, according to data from the Millionnaires Africa website cited by financialafrik. However, it should be noted that these figures only reflect the movements on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
Benjelloun not only holds 27.41% of Bank Of Africa’s shares, equivalent to 57,214,615 ordinary shares, but is also recognized as one of the pillars of the revival of the Moroccan financial market.
With a net worth estimated by Forbes at $1.3 billion, Benjelloun ranks 16th among the largest fortunes in Africa and 2,154th worldwide.
