Moroccan Transport Company Denies Restricting Travel for Sub-Saharan Passengers

No restrictions have been imposed on Sub-Saharan nationals wishing to travel through Morocco. This is at least what the Moroccan Transport Company (CTM) claims.
"No such measure has been given to any party whatsoever for the individual movements of Sub-Saharan nationals, whether by their own means or through public transport," sources told the media, Le360, to cut short the information widely circulated on social networks in this regard.
However, the company acknowledges having taken some measures to combat illegal immigration and criminal networks. They concern certain Sub-Saharan nationals who rent buses to go in groups to border areas, with the intention of carrying out illegal immigration operations.
According to the same sources, the ban on group travel to border areas also applies to foreigners residing illegally in the Kingdom, as well as to Moroccan nationals.
