Moroccan Teen Attempts Suicide After Alleged Blackmail by School Supervisor

A boarding school supervisor in Taounate is in serious trouble after a 16-year-old student’s suicide attempt. He allegedly threatened several times to expel his boarder if she did not yield to his advances.
The accused is said to have repeatedly put pressure on the girl to achieve his goal, reports Al Massae. According to the young girl’s statements, the accused would have forbidden her access to the boarding school, regularly paid for by her parents.
Faced with the resistance of his victim, he is said to have forced her to leave the boarding school in the late afternoon. She had to walk about fifteen kilometers before reaching the family home at night.
Traumatized and not knowing where to turn, the student swallowed poison to commit suicide. She was found in critical condition and evacuated to the emergency room. Thanks to the medical team’s expertise, she was barely saved.
An investigation has been opened to determine the circumstances of this suicide attempt. As for the boarding school supervisor, he should be heard in the coming days and answer for his actions.
