Moroccan Teachers Protest Education Ministry Over European Assignments

A major demonstration is scheduled for March 9 and 10 next, in front of the headquarters of the Ministry of National Education and the Hassan II Foundation, by teachers in charge of the training of the Arabic language and Moroccan culture for the children of Moroccans living abroad.
In a press release, the National Federation of Education Officials expressed its full support for the teachers who have returned from Europe, accusing the supervisory ministry of adopting a deaf ear policy towards their demands.
In its request, the Federation calls on the ministry to assign the "victim" teachers to the various regional directorates, as compensation for the damage suffered following their secondment to Europe, in addition to the recovery of all seniority points.
Furthermore, the union also supported the demand for the immediate regularization of the financial arrears of the teachers, owed by the Hassan II Foundation, attributing the mismanagement of their files to the latter and the Ministry of National Education.
