Moroccan Teacher Arrested for Urging Students to Break Lockdown for School Fees

A French teacher at a public high school in Essaouira had the audacity to urge his students to violate the lockdown, in order to pay him the fees for March and April.
In an audio recording, posted on his Facebook page, this teacher has scheduled meetings with his students at different locations in the city, in defiance of the state of health emergency, specifying to them to mark the name and class on a sealed envelope.
Alerted by the audio, the police services seized the case, subjecting the accused to an interrogation, pending the decision of the public prosecutor’s office.
For its part, the delegation of the Ministry of National Education assured that an investigation will be opened in order to take the appropriate measures. In the meantime, it has sent a request for explanation to the teacher.
