Moroccan Students in Ukraine Face Soaring Airfares Amid Evacuation Call

Following the call of the Moroccan Embassy in Ukraine to Moroccan citizens to leave the country for "their safety", ticket prices have risen sharply, driven by the escalation of tensions in the Russian-Ukrainian crisis. Students are calling for the organization of special flights.
These tensions have caused ticket prices to skyrocket, which are also becoming scarce, reports SRNT News, adding that Moroccan citizens, mostly students, are in a deadlock.
For example, a flight from Kiev to Fez exceeds 26,000 DH, not to mention that all flights must necessarily go through Turkey, according to a travel agency manager, explaining that Moroccan students residing in Ukraine do not have a Schengen visa. They therefore cannot make a stopover in a European Union country.
As a result, these students have appealed to the authorities to benefit from special flights. The call has been heard as the two Moroccan companies Royal Air Maroc and Air Arabia will organize repatriation flights starting tomorrow. Will they be sufficient?
