Moroccan Students Protest Official’s Doctoral Admission at Beni Mellal University

Outrage at the University of Beni Mallal. Students are protesting the admission of the director general of services for the Beni Mellal-Khénifra region to the doctoral cycle.
The students, particularly those who were not selected, were not at all happy to see the name of the director general of services for the Beni Mellal-Khénifra region on the final list of those admitted to the doctoral cycle. According to them, the "new doctoral student" would not meet the eligibility conditions for the "landscape and heritage dynamics" research unit, reports Al Massae, noting that he would hold a private master’s degree and not a specialized master’s degree in geography from the public university, a fundamental criterion for access to the doctoral cycle at the Faculty of Letters in Beni Mellal.
According to the students and professors of the Faculty of Letters in Beni Mellal, this case would be linked to the renewal of an agreement signed between the Beni Mellal-Khénifra regional council and the Sultan Moulay Slimane University of Beni Mellal, noting that this renewal would be carried out under the pressure of the "new doctoral student".
