Moroccan Student Sentenced for Exam Fraud: Posed as Woman to Take Test

The student who had impersonated a young woman in order to take the end-of-year exams in place of one of his friends now knows his fate. The court of first instance in Mohammedia has rendered its verdict a few days ago.
The facts date back to June 21. A student usurped the identity of a female student in order to take the exams in her place at the Faculty of Legal, Economic and Social Sciences (FSJESM). While he thought he had succeeded in his scheme, he was arrested by the monitoring committee, who immediately alerted the police.
About ten days after the facts, the court of first instance in Mohammedia handed down its verdict, sentencing this student, described as brilliant, enrolled in a master’s program, to three months in prison and a fine of 5,000 dirhams, for fraud.
The female student for whom he impersonated is enrolled in the same faculty, option "economic sciences and management". She was also sentenced to the same penalty.
