Moroccan Student Ihssane Hadir Wins National Arab Reading Challenge, Advances to UAE Finals

The curtain has fallen on the 6th edition of the Arab Reading Challenge in Morocco, with the crowning of Ihssane Hadir. She beat more than a million Moroccan students who participated in this national competition.
Hadir is "the champion of the Arab Reading Challenge at the national level, and will represent Morocco in the final Arab qualifications to be held in October in the United Arab Emirates," said Chakib Benmoussa, Moroccan Minister of Primary Education and Sports, during an online closing ceremony held in Rabat last week. Hadir is currently in the second year of baccalaureate at the Ibn Tofail high school in Khouribga.
Boujemaa Belhand was awarded the title of the most distinguished supervisor in Morocco for his remarkable work of mentoring, empowering and training students as part of the competition. There were 12,200 supervisors vying for this title. Out of the 10,444 participating schools, the Mokhtar Jazoulit school in the Rabat education district won the title of the most distinguished school in the sixth edition of the Arab Reading Challenge in Morocco.
Launched in 2015, the Arab Reading Challenge aims to establish a culture of reading among the new Arab generation and to emphasize the importance of knowledge in shaping the future of each candidate, but also that of their communities and their countries.
