Moroccan Student Enrollment Surges 13% in UK Universities, Business Programs Popular

The number of Moroccan students enrolled in British universities has increased by 13% between the academic years 2014-2015 and 2017-2018. Professional recognition at the international level, as well as the number of job opportunities, are at the origin of this particular interest in Great Britain.
Two-thirds of Moroccan students applying for studies in Great Britain are in the university cycle, while the remaining third are pursuing doctoral studies. The "Business" sector, often chosen by foreign students, is the preferred branch of those from Morocco.
Several countries have recorded an increase in the number of Moroccan students enrolled. In France, where 40% of foreign students are Moroccan, a 17% increase was observed between 2011 and 2016, on the one hand, and during the 2016-2017 academic year, on the other hand.
In Great Britain, Moroccan students represent 1% of the foreign university population. They number 690. The leaders of the British education system aspire to attract more Moroccan students. They hope to increase the number of enrollments by 30% in the near future.
